Hip or Something

What happened to Joaquin Phoenix? Does anybody know...I've read recently that he has given up acting and is pursuing a career in hip hop,WOW! I heard that he was a little strange but after seeing this interview, he's on a totally different planet. Seriously, what is he on? Check out for yourself, but i do like the beard! I do think Letterman and the crowd took it a little far though, he's human and all remember.
