This is one of my new favorite Passion Pit songs. Don't get me wrong, Sleepyhead is fucking awesome, I'm just digging this song more right now. Can't wait to see them at Lollapalooza.
You can get their record for free on Quote Unquote records (donate!) or get it on CD or Vinyl from Bermuda Hawk or Los Diapers respectively. I'm starting to like these 3 guys from Michigan more and more each time I listen to them!
With the successful debut of its first two DVD’s, the Bootleg Sessions Project continues with a third installment. This new version could possibly be the best to date, showcasing footage of tricks from some of the best riders in the world of cycling.
This is their new video "Young Adult Friction" and it resembles their first music video for "Everything With You." I really really like that song and I really really like this song. I keep seeing good things from these guys, and wouldn't mind seeing them either! ENJOY!

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs seem to be all over the media lately getting attention for their new album It's Biltz! I really enjoy this song even though the sound quality on Jimmy's show isn't the best and her vocals were a little high for my taste. This song for sure is a danceball headbanger but I think that Karen O(lead singer) needs to look at some tapes of herself dancing because she is awful! I still love the band though and their new album is a must get! FOR REALZ.
French band M83 recently held a contest to see who could come up with the best video clip for their song We Own The Sky. The winner was finally picked and it turned out to be Young Replicant, an aspiring artist from L.A.LOL. Just like most of their other videos, it entails "teens who are trying to find themselves." This song isn't soo bad, just don't really get the video. Explanation Young Replicant?
Vans kicks it old school with a very nice and vibrant collection! Look for these to be hitting Vans stores in the up and coming months. GET them before they are all gone, and ohhh they will go fast!
This is why i love Matt & Kim! Not only do they make fucking amazing music...they run around New York in the middle of the day, NAKED! I need to go to Brooklyn to see them again. Ohh and this song is called "Lessons Learned" off their album Grand, which is a must listen.
I love that the inspiration for both of these shoes was a tennis racket! In fact, the whole sport of tennis was used to create these beauties. I really like how the shoe looks and I hope they are not too expensive because I need to get me a pair. Both the colors will be in DC retail stores on May 1, 2009.
Dirt Nasty - "Cracker Ass Fantastic" from Nicholaus Goossen on Vimeo. Damn I just can't get me enough of Dirt Nasty(Simon Rex)! He can flow/snort blow like no other rapper out there! I mean come on, who freestyles in the fucking sauna, shits GREAT!
Casio has finally brought this watch back and is selling them in two limited colors, green and yellow. Even though it's kind of a geek watch, I still love it. Even though it's not at tough as the G-Shock, I'm still going to need to get this! The best part about this watch, is that it doesn't cost you all your limbs to get it! NICE! Around 70 Bucks.SOLD!
I'm really digging these, in fact im digging a lot of purple shoes right now and I don't know why. These are definitely better than Yeezy's kicks, sorry but I think so. If you would like to get them in white/black, they are available to you as well. If you live in the NY you can pick these up at:
Yohji Yamamoto 103 Grand St., New York, NY 10013 at Mercer St. 212-966-9066
the Newest video off their acclaimed new debut CD. Kinda looks like a video about the last supper, or some people having a party in a stable. It's crazy I know...but see for yourselves!
Lacoste continues their Crocodile Mythologies Collection! This latest round is scheduled to drop the first week of June 2009!! Definitely getting me a pair, OH YEA!
I can't wait for summer to cruise around on my Longboard. Some of this shit might be a little extreme for me but can't wait!!! I just want to ride along without a care in the world.
After many many months, possibly years?? of speculation, and after tons of rumors about Michael Cera’s holdout from the “Arrested Development” movie, it seems that the actor has FINALLY agreed to do the movie! If sources are correct, the movie should be filmed by the end of the year and that's good news for the fans, who mostly became fans after the show was cancelled...mostly. I'm excited to see this movie, its going to be hilarious like I expect it do be!!!
This video explains everything this band is...FUN! I love to dance along and I don't care if anyone else is watching me dance. Of all the videos I have seen of them performing, they have a ridiculous amount of energy and I love to see that in a band. If you like this video and want more...you shall receive more below. Starfucker-Starfucker
This is just a snippet of his Vh1 Storyteller's performance and I already cant wait to see more. This performance of "Stronger" is great and I think one of the best I've seen. the Full show will air on Saturday February 28. It's a must watch!
I was a little nervous at first to hear a remix of a song i really really love! But i gotta give it to Miike Snow, its a great song. He adds a little more computer beeps and effects and its actually pretty cool and I'm digging it. It makes me feel better that such a good song like the Kids Don't Stand a Chance was not ruined, i can sleep better now! Vampire Weekend ft. Miike Snow- the Kid's Dont Stand a Chance(remix)
She is my new crush..I love her! In this video she talks about her infatuation with Andre 3000 and a Tribe Called Quest, to name a few. She even does a few lines from Can I Kick It from a Trible Called Quest, its great! Check it out.
I really like these, and wouldn't mind getting a few pair for myself. Usually Admiral's style is more simplistic and just traditional, I was shocked to see something like this and there are plans for more in the future! Via hypebeast
I have come across something very very interseting...Why? They are a group of musicians who are classified as Indie/Folk/New Wave/Hip-Hop! All of which I absolutely love and NOW I love Them...Check out there MySpace, it wont be disappointing! Also I got their third full-length album recently: Why?-Alopecia
I can't even describe this...I have no words. I got goose bumps while listening to this! I've been listening to El Guincho for sometime now, and his Latin Pop/Dance or whatever it is, is simply amazing. I just want to get up and dance along right with him. I have to mention the way this video is shot... I love how it just shows a view from what looks like someone looking through their hands and then later it just opens up to him performing. He performs with such passion and his fans seems to love it too, i sure do! I love the different angles that it shows people enjoying his music, but it always shoots back to him performing and it is great! You really need to check out more of El Guincho, it's a must add to your musical collection.
I'm starting to like Flight of the Conchords even more and more and more and I did not know that was even possible! Their creativity just blows me away, and the episode they play this song in is one of my new favorites! I don't know what guitar thingy they are playing, but i want one!
YES! It's getting close to that great time of the year where people start to show off their different creations of jean shorts!! Ahh....I love it! Its not a quick process here, you gotta find those right pair of jeans and figure out where to cut them! Some people choose to buy them at UrbanOutfitters, while others just simply make them themselves from older jeans that are laying around, terry! Whatever your plans are for getting your very own pair of jean shorts this summer, we all know you will rock them with the utmost confidence!
I dont't know Charlie very well but music seems to flow for him, from what i've heard. Ahern on the other hand is a good buddy of mine, and he can write lyrics/spit like no other! Once these two get signed, I am going to manage them! I absolutely love this little project they got going on and its going to grow to bigger things I'm certain. I have been showing some kids this music around campus and they agree that it's pretty awesome. I think "On the Dance Floor" is an all around hit! Keep up the great work! Check out some of their songs: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Charlie-Giger/7098693166?ref=ts
This is simply a great all around band, there songs are very poetic. Even though their drummer/songwriter, John Ryan Pike, tragically drowned, they still moved on forward with this debut album. I think people can grow on this band and make them a huge hit! Actually...who am I kidding they are, they sold out the Aragon Ballroom already! I sure would love to see more from the band. To find out more about the band and their tour dates, check out their MySpace:http://www.myspace.com/rarariot
Also! Here is their new debut album the Rhumb Line, consider yourself lucky, this is a very great, beautiful, peaceful, easy listening, album! RaRaRiot- the Rhumb Line
YES! This is magnificent! I absolutely love this! Ahhh.....I may sound crazy, but just watch, its great! WOW!WOW!WOW! Minilogue - Animals from ljudbilden on Vimeo.
I really love RaRaRiot, and i love this video even more! This is a really cool video and I'd love to see more of this. I love the kids skateboarding in the background and the footage all around Paris. Seems like a great day in Paris to me. Check out more of them at http://www.myspace.com/rarariot
This is simply amazing, I have seen tons of videos of Sage Francis and this is by far the coolest I've seen. This is a song called Escape Artist and it's off his A Healthy Distrust album, one of my favorites. You would never imagine a man of his looks could produce such sick rhymes, its great! I think his music is even more powerful live, and he needs to come to Chicago again. Sage Francis @ Villette Sonique by Blogotheque from La Blogotheque on Vimeo. thanks to http://www.blogotheque.net/
Fleet Foxes - A Take Away Show from La Blogotheque on Vimeo. Fleet Foxes is really really really growing on me and I really really really enjoy listening to their music. Their music is simply not like any other, its simply beautiful! This is a very very cool video and I love all the different angles they portray them in, its simply magnificent. This kind of reminds me of the sixties and all that cool hippie shit, very nostalgic and I like it.
These shoes are just classic Jack Purcell, the former designer of badminton. I believe that this shoe gives new life to the Converse style, something unique. You can get this shoe in this color or the classic white. These need to drop in the US of A as soon as possible. You can get them here at ZoZo if you can read Chinese or whatever that is! The other Jack Purcell toe box is also pretty sweet and I suggest picking up a pair of those.
I recently saw this movie again and thought to myself, why don't I have this soundtrack yet. This is the same guy who did the Rushmore soundtrack and I absolutely loved that! This is another class soundtrack that one needs to add to their collection. If you agree..check it out right here: Bottle Rocket: Mark Mothersbaugh
I really really like this song by them! I was watching their TV show recently and some things weren't funny but i loved the David Bowie song. Most of there shit is hilarious but some can be dry at times. I love how they can write their own songs and make them sound old, its great!
Austin Lucas plays his songs with such emotion and his songs sound beautiful. I really need to see this guy live and I get chills from watching him play. I did on this video and I'm sure you will too. Austin Lucas - Go West from If You Make It on Vimeo.
If you want more, which I'm sure you does, check out his album the Common Cold you won't regret it. I'm nice so it's right here: Austin Lucas- the Common Cold
What happened to Joaquin Phoenix? Does anybody know...I've read recently that he has given up acting and is pursuing a career in hip hop,WOW! I heard that he was a little strange but after seeing this interview, he's on a totally different planet. Seriously, what is he on? Check out for yourself, but i do like the beard! I do think Letterman and the crowd took it a little far though, he's human and all remember.
I really really really like this song/band! "a Thing for Me" is a song that you listen to over and over and over again and it never gets old. Just listen for yourself and it will be in your head, trust me! A Thing For Me from Metronomy on Vimeo.
Short film set to Chromatic's song of the moment “Hands in the Dark” shot in Paris directed by Sebastien Rippon. This video is very cool and this song isn't too bad itself!
Friend from down the hall was playing the Notwist one day and they got me very very interested in them. They are a pretty cool mellow band from Germany. Check out this Live video:
I love Flosstradamus, they make the best dance/party music I have heard. The best is they are from the Midwest(Chicago) so i can see them whenever i please. This is a song they collaborated with Caroline Polachek and its great, I hope they do some more in the future.
YES! They are in the studio and making more incredible music. I can't wait to hear more from these guys from Cambridge, Massachusetts. They need to come to Chicago but rumors are out there that they will be at Lollapalooza, so I'm definitely getting a ticket just to go see them, no matter the cost.
Yea I'm going to have to get this at United Arrows. Thanks to Hypebeast otherwise I would not of found this hat I love so much. There are many more available at United Arrows and definitely think you should check them out pronto.
Great ALBUM! Thanks to http://newbornrodeo.com/ i can listen to album and enjoy it! I love Charles Hamilton no matter what Rhymefest has to say about it, even though i love his diss song about Hamilton. Download this NOW! Charles Hamilton-Well Isn't This Awkward
I recently saw this movie for the 100th time and wondered why I have yet to get this Soundtrack. Everyone song on it is great and just goes along with the movie so well. From Cat Stevens to the Who, this sounds covers all the areas of great music. Check out the Sounds track here: http://www.mediafire.com/?mgzz7qb2cn0 if you like cat stevens you will love this soundtrack!
